Welcome to the web site of the New Zealand Wine Business Symposium. The Symposium is convened by the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) and Hawke's Bay Winegrowers Inc.
The Symposium is designed to be a biennial event. The inaugural symposium, BUILDING WINE BRANDS, was held 17 - 18 June 2008 at EIT Hawke's Bay.
"I would rate the NZ Wine Business Symposium as being world class and one of the best I have ever attended."
- Jim Robertson, Global Business Relations Manager, Pernod Ricard NZ
"I came away from the conference overwhelmingly inspired, and rearing to get to back to the winery so I could use the practical, well researched information I had received."
- Sasha d'Entremont, Marketing Manager, The MH Group
"The Symposium was stimulating, energising, informative and well run. Those fortunate souls that were there, have equipped themselves with an advantage over the rest of our industry."
- Rex Sunde, Misty Valley Nursery
Each Symposium will focus on a topic(s) of vital interest to the New Zealand wine industry and bring together researchers, academics and those at the 'coal face' of the industry to discuss and develop a sound practical basis on which wineries can enhance and build their business and markets locally and globally.
2008 Proceedings are available on CD and hard copy. 2010 Symposium details will be announced soon.
